CLASSES
In our Technique Classes you will learn basic and advanced knit or crochet, focusing on
technique.
Enroll in our Project Classes to create finished garments.
These classes require basic knowledge of knit or crochet. You must pre-register, a minimum of 72 hours before
the class is held. A materials list is provided and yarn must be purchased from TYS.
For the machine knitters we have Machine
Knit Classes. We are also pleased
to bring you
Special Events.
Class enrollment is limited. Classes that are cancelled due to lack of enrollment will have class fee returned
in manner paid for.
TECHNIQUE CLASSES
| BASIC LEARN TO HAND KNIT | 4 – 90 minute classes |

| Learn 2 cast-ons, the simple knit and purl stitch expanded into 5 stitch patterns, multiple styles of increasing and decreasing, seaming, gauge and tension importance, blocking and reading labels, patterns and how to determine substitutions. Project patterns geared to each lesson begin with the second class. You will be able to knit a basic pattern from cast on to finishing and have it fit. | |

| You will advance from basic chain cast on through the basic single and double crochet stitches to include alternate methods of first row, identifying and reading stitches, scallops, crochet in the round, reading a graph, gauge, tension, steam, reading a basic yarn label and pattern.
